Wow, how is it that a month can go by and I barely remember to write on this thing, life goes by to fast.
Lets learn to slow it down and make memories.
Well family and friends, Last time I wrote we were talking about how Dallas is going for us and what will be coming up. Brandi is doing amazing in school and loves the education from some of the best teachers. She comes home telling us all about the new spin movement abilities she learns and why it’s important. So it’s a nice massage on my back as she feels around the spin and figure out how its shaped. Brevan will even sit very still and enjoys the attention. Her tests are going great and she says on some she even does better then a majority of those in her class.
Matt has found a job working as a sales man for Toyota here in Lewisville. After finding out that not very many agencies like the idea that he had been fired from Best Buy. So he is waiting a year until it has passed and will look again. While working at Toyota he is networking and finding people that have good information about how to look for good federal jobs. But things even look good to receive chances in management at Toyota. So for now he is willing to go either way that blesses our home more and allows greater chances for the kids and Brandi.

This last Tuesday was Brevans birthday and we all celebrated it on Wednesday. There is a mall here that had an aqua life museum and he loved looking at all the fish. For his birthday of three years he got new clothes and a BBQ grill likes dads and has already made lots of food for us all to eat, he got it from his Papa and Mema Heinitz. From Mema and Papa Hurst he got a Buzz lightyear and from his parents he got other clothes and an ice cream cake and a wiggle racer like grate grandma Clonts has in her basement. He loved every minute of it and enjoys birthdays now.
Chloe is beginning to crawl and gets into more than Brevan does. She loves real food and can’t get enough.

Well one other event happened lately that was a scary one for us. On this day Matt had brought home a large SUV to test out and learn the product while taking a lunch. Matt all had thought Brevan was out in the garage playing with Brandi’s car and went inside to say good bye to Brandi before he went off to work. While Matt left through the front door Brandi thought Brevan had went into the living room after coming inside to play with his toys he has in there. Well Brevan decided to go out the front door and try to get in the car with Matt. Brevan had stepped onto the running board and grabbed the door handle as Matt started to drive off. Luckily Matt had to drive slow through the street being that its cramped and the SUV was large. After passing almost 7 houses Matt heard a little knock on the side of the car and he looked in the side mirror and saw Brevan on the ground. Of course he hurried as fast as possible to him and a neighbor called 911. Through blessings and grace from our loving Father he got away with small road rash on his back in three places, arm and a nice goose egg on his head. He was monitored for the rest of the day and didn’t show any signs of problems. Today he has all but a small red area on one side of his back and we all now know the importance of extreme case safety procedures. I wanted to share this to help those that we love who may find themselves in this area with their kids too.
Here is just a taste of what happened at his party as well, there is more on FB of course.

Well for now that’s all that has happened, and we will all see you soon at Denise’s Wedding to Mugs.
Have a great time and don’t burn the cabin down.

A Heap Full

Hello after so long,
I can’t believe that I never took the chance to write a little here and there to let my family know what’s going on with my family. Well a lot of exciting and fun stuff has happened and is about to happen with all of us.
Let’s see the last time I wrote was 2010 Fourth of July. Wow. Since then My family and I have moved to Provo for about a year where Brandi finished her prerequisites for Parker Chiropractic school she wants to go to. While living in Provo I ended up going to school at Utah Valley University studying Criminal Justice from some of the best teachers who were formally FBI agents, DEA agents, Defense attorney and also a Detective for the Orem PD.
While living in our apartment in Provo Brandi and I had another wonderful addition to our family, on September 14, 2011 where Chloe was born at about 9:50 am in the American Fork Hospital.

Brevan was a great boy at our neighbors and loved the new baby and still loves making her laugh.

In February of 2011 I started working at Peak Alarm where I was a guard for a huge business park called Canyon Park Technology Center. I mostly worked night and swing shifts, which were a little hard on all of us, but got us the money we needed and gave me the time to attend all of my classes easily.
I feel bad skimming all of this stuff but hopefully I will be better about posting and will keep more detailed writing.
In November of 2011 Ginger, Brandi’s sister who had recently gotten married to Steven Hobson, asked us if we wanted to live in their new house, in the basement, that they had bought in Eagle Mountain Utah for a great deal so we could save some money. We agreed and moved to Eagle Mountain after our thanksgiving break where we had visited Brandi’s parents for the holiday.
Last December I was able to graduate from UVU with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an emphasis in accounting.
Between the months of January of this year to March I worked days full time and we all spent time together at Gingers and Stevens house. Brevan started learning very fast and now knows all of his basic colors, he has been able to count to ten on his own, and sings a variety of songs from nursery. His two favorites are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and I Am a Child of God.
On April 5th we found a house in Lewisville Texas which is a suburb of Dallas, about 30 min north of Dallas. Here we have started a new milestone for both Brandi and I. Brandi is starting her Doctorates Program at Parker on Monday the 7th. She is very excited and cant wait to get back to school and really dive into her life desire of being a great Chiropractor. I have applied to be a Texas State Trooper and am in the process of getting ready to start the academy in June. I have passed the physical testing and written test all I have left is a polygraph test, an oral board review and then a psychological test before I enter. The one thing that is good about becoming a Trooper is that the training is the most rigorous and demanding then any department I have ever seen. I have also been told that many federal agencies look to the Texas Troopers for hiring because of it; it’s basically like boot camp.
Well that is the last year and a half or so all wrapped up in highlights.

Now don't burn the cabin y'all.

Lots of Stuff

Today is the 4th of July and even though it was Sunday we had a good day. I had about 20 fireworks left over from last year and so we invited my good friends, the Zarco’s with their new baby boy Milo, over for hamburgers and then some celebration of pyromania.

Well since it’s been a few months I have a lot to go over. Just a few highlights that need to be known is that Brandi and I found a good place to live in south Provo closer to BYU campus that is a 2 bedroom condo for an amazing price considering we have a dog that always costs more. The condo is almost a dream considering the price range we were staying in. The kitchen is super nice and has a lot of room and tall ceilings. I would say the only down side is that the master bedroom has no closet, so if you find a sweet deal on a wardrobe let us know. Next big deal is Brandi started school again at BYU this summer term and is doing very well. Brandi is taking Doctrine and Covenants, which is a religious class, and her other two classes are nutrition and chemistry; for a summer term that is considered full time classes.

After looking over my own schooling and mapping it all out I have decided to go back to taking Criminal justice classes and since BYU doesn’t have that as a major I am transferring over to UVU. Now that we are both going to school we found a great daycare for Brevan to go to. I sure hope he likes it. Brevan is doing so great. I couldn’t have asked for a better boy. Brevan now has about 5 teeth and working on the 6th. He now walks around furniture with ease and is now finding out that he is funny when he is making faces. Brevan just had his first birthday on the 12th of June; Brandi made him chocolate cup cakes with a little cars candle. He has been an amazing blessing to us.

Last thing is the trip Brevan and I got to take 2 weeks ago to Colorado and Kansas. First Brevan and I flew into Denver where our flight was delayed over an hour. Then my friend Cody who was about to get married came to Colorado Springs with his best man, Josh, to hang out and have a little fun, kind of like a little bachelors party. First we went paint balling with my dad and had a blast giving each other welts. Then that night they went out. That weekend Cody got married to an amazing girl that I have known for about 3 years named Heidi. Their wedding was so great and full of laughter and memories. The next week my parents, Brevan and I drove back to Utah to hang out for a week where we celebrated our countries independence by watching fireworks on the 3rd at Thanksgiving Point.
Hope this all made sense, wrote it while tired.

Love peace and chicken grease

Having an amazing time, except. . .

I feel bad that it’s been a long time, but life goes on. So Brandi and I had an amazing Christmas with our family in Garden City, then Goodland, and finally wrapping it up in Colorado (both Springs and Littleton). After which school started right away.

I am going to BYU still, second semester, taking Economics, Management Communications, Book of Mormon, Computer Science, and Snowboarding. A lot of reading and studying compared to last semester with me working problems all night. After this semester I plan on applying for the Information System program through the business program at BYU. Brandi is getting back into school at BYU this summer while I work until the fall. She is going into exercise science so that she can get into Chiropractic school. Brevan is getting bigger and trying to crawl, he loves eating mush food and still is not showing any teeth, but soon we hope.

On my free time I have been heading to the close resort here and snowboarding to get my mind free from all the schooling and worries. I have taken Brandi up once and she loves it, so this Monday, Presidents day, we are going up again.

The neatest thing that has happened lately is that we won a five course dinner at our Bishops house. It was all Mexican based and delicious as could be. For the appetizer we had lime shrimp cocktail that had avocado and Pico in it. Then we had a salad with beans and corn. After we where suppose to have sorbet but it went bad so we skipped it and had a wonderful enchilada casserole. For dessert there was a vanilla wafer in raspberry ice cream.

Can’t wait for family to visit again and see what is all new here in Orem Utah. I hope that it snows some more so that I can hit the slopes a few more times.

Sweet Molasses

Sitting here in Kansas with the in-laws,
This week starts my Christmas holiday break from school, how sweet it is to have fun with family and no worries but getting fat with all the delicious food that is bad for me, so far my favorites this season food wise is caramel chocolate pretzels, blackberry pie, banana bars and See’s peanut brittle. Good thing its warm here in Kansas so I can go running it all off each morning. The break started off with lots of fun in the car for 8 hours through the mountains. Glorious weather as we passed Vail and Copper Mountain with jealousy stirring with every skier I saw coming down the slopes. 2 more weeks before I get the fix I need. We reached my parents in Colorado Springs with love and a fun game of king’s crown. There the next day after I woke up and made my dad help me find a few gifts for Christmas for a couple of hours, while the rest of the family fancied up the house with decorations and tons of food with lots of loved ones. My father had no idea he was about to have his first surprise Birthday party at 50. It was a blast. My new son was passed around like a bad cold, I think he liked it.
Shortly after that Brandi and I took Brevan and Leo to Kansas where we are getting to spend time with the Heinitz family and some good friends here in Garden City. I plan on creating a new skit with The best man friend named Cody C. I hope it all goes good because we are doing it the day before I leave. On the 24th there will be a little present opening and story sharing, after which some more driving to Goodland with the Hurst side for a day of family and games. On Christmas day even more driving with my family to Colorado to see the family and more of the Clonts side and a few more present sharing. I can’t wait to see what my little wifey got me this season. I hope she is excited as I will be when she sees her gifts I got for her. This break better go slow, like molasses filling a bucket, because I need the break and need lots of video gaming to catch up on.
I hope all of your Holiday season’s are safe and bright and that as we come to this time and the memory of our saviors birth and life, that we each take a chance to read the Scriptures and think about how important the life and ministry of Jesus Christ was and still is to each of us for the great plan of Salvation that our Father in Heaven has for each of us. I love my Savior and pray that I will always remember his Gospel that is filling the earth even today. Become more Christ-like with all that you do and be caring and kind to your fellow brothers and sisters. Love it…

Christmas Preperations

I am actually really liking this stuff with blogging and what not, never thought I would enjoy it as much.
Well this is the last week of fall classes and then its finals. I’m not too worried; my finals are pretty spread out and give me enough time to study for each of them. This week Brandi, Brevan and I are working on getting Christmas cards out to some people, but if you don’t get one, sorry your just not important enough to me and Brandi, just kidding, we don’t have a lot of money and it can get expensive if you’re sending out 50 pictures of yourself with postage and stuff also, I mean stamps are like 43cents now, yikes. After next week though we, including Katy, are going to drive down to Colorado Springs on the 18th and see our parents. But on the 19th Brandi Brevan and I are going to Garden City KS to see her family for a bit then we will be heading off to Goodland to see my loving Hurst family that hasn’t seen Brevan yet for Christmas, but to make everyone happy and spend time with my parents we then will head to Colorado again to see the Clonts side family. It is going to be so tiring but we will have some good memories, I already can tell.

Brevan is about to turn 6months on the 12th. He is just about to start teething we think, just because his attitude and schedule is changing so much all of a sudden. He loves pulling things to his mouth and chewing on dad’s fingers. We have taken him to a few volleyball games this last week as BYU men’s volleyball kicks off their season against Arizona and UVU. They did very well, not as good as last year I think but still worth it. While at these games we noticed Brevan looking around at all the girls and giving a flirty laugh at them and smiling a lot. Already, makes me proud, but Brandi is sad about it.

This semester I have had time to take some classes that I needed for business school and prepare to apply for the Business school here at BYU and found that I extremely enjoy my Information Systems class and decided to redirect my Major to it. The cool thing about it is that there isn’t that many schools that have this for their students and gives a better chance of finding certain jobs and getting a career that I can start. I can’t wait until the day I start my career and not have to worry about getting graded on my perfect ability, no one is perfect except some of these BYU students, I think they are robots, no one can retain that much information.
Next semester I will be taking more pre-business classes that I need along with a snowboarding class that takes me to Sundance and lets me snowboard each week for about 3 hours, perfect! I am way excited for that.

Thanksgiving time

The last week was T-break, finally a good break from school, kinda, I still had those teachers that thought it just meant no class time but still perfect time for homework to be done, you know what I mean. My Mother-in-law and sister-in-law came the Saturday before and stayed all week and had fun with us. We did a lot of Christmas shopping, isn't that what thanksgiving is about? I mean finding the best deal compared to any one you know and bragging about it and giving thanks to being in the right spot at the write time, maybe not. All I care about when giving a gift is that I see it being used more then once in the first month and being loved. Back to family, my parents came to stay with us also on the day of thanksgiving and made the house even more full of love. We had a great time talking and going out to eat. Letting them see Brevan and his chunkyness that he is. My parents took my wife Brandi, son Brevan and I to salt Lake to see the lights in Temple Square, the nativity scenes where my favorite, I cant wait to get a nice and beautiful nativity scene. From there we headed to the Jackson's house where my favorite cousin was with her new baby boy, Brevan's BFF, he looked like Bethany when she was a baby, but had the attitude of Casey, he is gonna be awesome.
one thing that my father and mother did for me and my sister was bring some of our Grandpas T-day dinner which is our favorite, Grandpa Clonts makes his food with love and it took me too long to understand that for myself.
